Fetching/Syncing

  • Fetch feeds as specified in their settings (only fetch if a client is registered)
  • Fetch on user request
  • Notify fetching state
  • Advanced: Write back changes to online services like Bloglines or Newsgator

=> here I am not sure what should happen in the kded daemon and what in Akonadi.

Archive management

When fetching/syncing:

  • add feed articles to archive, update changed articles
  • notify clients of new/updated/deleted articles, changed unread count
  • delete expired articles

=> Akonadi

How to implement it? As "Resource", "Agent"?
